Italy news RAI Paolo Corsini calls Corrado Formigli 'infamous', who replies: 'Let Rai judge'. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, like the Sun King, buys a 144 million palace to house her followers in search of glory

Milano 26 October 2024 by Matthew Osbourne London

In Italy there is a war going on in the field of television information that is pushing the political factions to an all-out clash following the scandals that have arisen in the Government due to the promiscuous sexual relations of some members, such as the former Minister Sangiuliano. It is clear that in the political landscape, the gangs, the factions, the alignments are fighting to occupy the seats of power and not slip back in the electoral polls. The Government of Giorgia Meloni is put to the test, the scandals follow one another, the sexy gate of San Giuliano has highlighted that politicians and assistants are spied on, recorded and blackmailed. Dirty laundry is washed in public, where the political arena has reached.

Now it is Paolo Corsini's turn to throw himself against Corrado Formigli in a sort of single combat where the two journalists have rolled in an attempt to make one side prevail over the other. Giorgia Meloni's Empire is trying to stay afloat and repay all the proselytes with armchair positions of power. Giorgia Meloni's court will also have a new headquarters, a Palace Worth 144 million euros purchased by INAIL in the center of Rome, but which risks, according to rumors, seriously embarrassing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for some disturbing behind-the-scenes information on how the public administration managed by friends of friends makes pork of private citizens.

"You at Piazzapulita are...

no comment. Tell our friend Formigli to look into his conscience a little, he's... infamous". These are the words addressed by the director of Rai's Insights, Paolo Corsini, to the correspondent of Piazzapulita at the exit of the Festa del Tempo at Gnam and reported in a report broadcast during tonight's episode on La7.

"I leave it to the viewers but also to Rai to evaluate whether these terms are worthy of a very high executive of a public television paid for by all citizens, including myself", commented the host Corrado Formigli in the studio. "I don't have the pleasure of knowing this Corsini, but he insults me by calling me a scoundrel without us ever having met, we have never spoken in our lives - he added -. We have never insulted him. I understand that the director of Rai's in-depth program is very nervous about the impressive series of flops he has had, for which he is co-responsible. What can I say? I have a very clear conscience, dear Paolo Corsini, also because I have always stayed away from political parties and electoral and party stages".

"The same cannot be said about her. Perhaps the segment that concerns her most is precisely this one where she defines herself as a militant", Formigli said again, launching a clip with Corsini's intervention at the Atreju party. "I believe that there is no other response to her infamous insult than this and then those who watch will judge", he concluded.

Salerno: 'Corsini? At La7 children of Rai, it's sad to see her like this'
"Words are important. They define. Here at La7 we are almost all children of the public service, we have worked there for years, even with some notable success and contributing to its editorial growth. It's sad to see it like this". The director of La7, Andrea Salerno, wrote this on X.

Di Trapani: 'Corsini's insult is unworthy, Rai should apologize immediately'
"The director of Rai's Insights Paolo Corsini called Piazzapulita host Corrado Formigli an "infamous" person. I find him unworthy of the role he holds. I hope for an immediate apology from Rai, and consequent decisions". This was written on X by the president of the Fnsi, Vittorio Di Trapani.
