Dopo le parole al vetriolo attribuite a Donald Trump — «Mi implorava una fotografia, mi ha fatto pena» — il dibattito politico si è immediatamente spostato sul terreno della forza, dell'orgoglio e della reputazione internazionale. È la logica tipica della politica contemporanea: ogni affermazione pretende una contro-affermazione, ogni offesa reclama una risposta, ogni scontro alimenta un nuovo scontro.

Eppure esiste un'altra dimensione, più sottile e antropologica, nella quale il potere può decidere di sottrarsi alla spirale della contrapposizione. È la dimensione evocata dal video che immagina Giorgia Meloni in giro per Roma, nascosta sotto un vistoso cappello di paglia, a bordo di una Cinquecento arancione insieme a Elon Musk e al cane Floki.

A new chapter may be unfolding in U.S.–China relations following today’s meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping in Busan, South Korea. The U.S. President announced that the two countries have reached a trade agreement, with the official signing expected in the coming weeks.
