A new chapter may be unfolding in U.S.–China relations following today’s meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping in Busan, South Korea. The U.S. President announced that the two countries have reached a trade agreement, with the official signing expected in the coming weeks.
“We have a deal. We will renegotiate it every year, but I believe it will last for a very long time,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One after the bilateral talks. He noted that only “a few remaining obstacles” stand before the formal signature, adding: “We discussed many of the elements you talk about all the time. The deal covers almost everything — including soybean trade and tariffs related to fentanyl.”

The new Mediterranean frontier of capital and culture
A quiet revolution is taking place in Asia’s food and wellness markets — and its scent is unmistakably Mediterranean.
South Korea, once a marginal importer of olive oil, has evolved into one of the most dynamic, data-driven and design-conscious markets in the world for premium extra virgin olive oil (EVO).
According to the Corsini–Prometheus Research Center, imports of high-quality EVO oil have increased by more than 60 percent in five years, while consumer awareness has matured into what analysts call the “healthy-luxury mindset”.
In this paradigm, olive oil has moved from kitchen staple to symbol of longevity, elegance and sustainable living.

Behind the Tariffs, a Strategic Choreography of Pressure and Convergence
In the renewed confrontation between Washington and Beijing, Donald Trump moves like a hornet in a black-tie suit — circling, stinging, provoking, but always dancing within a rhythm he seems to master.
The escalation of tariffs and trade restrictions is not simply a show of strength or a populist gesture. It’s a deliberate choreography, a “hornet’s waltz” aimed at both unsettling and steering China toward a new equilibrium of mutual dependence.

We will never know if Elon Musk's absence was intentional or a twist of fate about Giorgia Meloni's American blitz. The fact is that the feeling or perhaps the flirtation between the Italian Prime Minister and Elon Musk had no effect. Giorgia Meloni, as they say in Italy, went in white, no flirtation with Elon, nothing behind the scenes for the sensual Italian Prime Minister who after four hours left empty-handed went home. We wonder if she concluded something and if the trip was exclusively dedicated to greeting the next US President or to convince him to desist on Abedini's extradition request, the Iranian counterpart to release our beautiful journalist Cecilia Sala. A thorny issue for Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as the affair has gripped the Italian people, becoming one of the main political factors on the stage of Italian priorities.

The bomb Israel used to kill former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut last week was an American-made guided weapon, Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, chairman of the Senate Air Force Subcommittee on US Armed Services, told NBC.
Israel used a 2,000-pound Mark 84, Kelly said.Israel carried out an air strike overnight near the Kola Crossing in central Beirut, the Guardian reported, noting that it was the first time Israel had struck Beirut outside its southern suburbs since the war began. Donald Trump was shot in the ear from a rooftop during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
About a dozen shots were heard. One spectator was killed and two others were injured. The attacker was killed by a Secret Service sniper. He was wearing camouflage and some reporters said the roof where he was positioned was less than 150 meters from the stage.
Richard Goldinger, the prosecutor for Butler County, where the attack occurred, said instead that the attacker was on the roof of an adjacent building, outside the event area. "A rifle was needed to carry out the attack because it was several hundred meters away," the prosecutor said.

Rebuilding the country brick by brick".Away with flashes of genius and impulsiveness, but also with overly bold dreams, it is time for "a government of service": Keir Starmer's words echo with a tone of concreteness, at least in intentions, on the day in which Labour returns to lead the United Kingdom after 14 years of Tory governments marked by shocks, global crises and internal lacerations culminating in the gamble of Brexit.
A legacy that the new prime minister cannot - and does not even want to - erase, but which he in fact intends to put behind him.
A clear victory, Marine Le Pen and her RN dominate the first round of the legislative elections, reaching between 33 and 34%.
The Macronian majority is far away, between 20 and 22%, while the left united in the New Republican Front has reason to hope, reaching 28-29%. According to the first projections in seats, the far right can, for the first time in France, obtain an absolute majority in the National Assembly and the post of Prime Minister for Le Pen's heir, Jordan Bardella: the various polling institutes, in their projections in seats, provide a range for the Le Penists between 240 and 310 seats, with the absolute majority set at 289. Emmanuel Macron was the first to speak: "In front of the Rassemblement National, the time has come for a broad, clearly democratic and republican union for the second round". Jean-Luc Mélenchon, from the left, thundered: "Not a single vote will go to the RN, wherever we are third we will withdraw our candidate". The same line was then taken by Raphael Glucksmann, the leader of Place Publique among the main exponents of the 'New Popular Front' coalition.

"NATO is preparing the alliance for a possible military clash with Russia," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko said in an interview with Izvestia.
"Everything that NATO is doing today in this field, to put it bluntly, is preparing the alliance for a possible military confrontation with Russia," he said, stressing that "the role of nuclear weapons in the military planning of the Alliance is growing and there is talk of their deployment in Poland and other European countries." "From the latest exercises and documents," Grushko said, "we see that the role of nuclear weapons in NATO's military strategy and military planning is only increasing. It is said that nuclear weapons could be deployed in Poland and other countries. Keep this in mind," he concluded, "for possible countermeasures that could become concrete if these intentions (of NATO, ed.) are realized."

At one point, one of the gunmen tells another to "kill them and have no mercy." The videos were published by the Amaq news agency.
'Allahu akbar' clearly says one of the ISIS terrorists in the video. The phrase is pronounced - but not shouted, as in other Islamic State attacks - a
about half of the video and is the only statement in Arabic, while the rest of the statements are in non-Arabic.
